Efacec launches modular 1.6 MW Charging Hub for high-power EV charging

Efacec presents its new Charging Hub, a modular high-power EV charging solution designed to meet the growing requirements of fleet, heavy-duty, high-traffic and destination charging applications.

Efacec presents its new Charging Hub, a modular high-power EV charging solution designed to meet the growing requirements of fleet, heavy-duty, high-traffic and destination charging applications.

Delivering up to 1.6 MW of power, the new platform ranks among the highest power distributed EV charging solutions currently available in the market and combines scalability, high availability and flexible site configuration in a single architecture.

Developed entirely in-house, the Charging Hub brings together Efacec’s charging technology, medium-voltage equipment, automation, grid integration and software capabilities, enabling an integrated solution from the grid connection to the vehicle, based on Efacec technology.

Built around 800 kW Modular Power Units, the platform allows operators to configure and expand charging capacity according to the specific requirements of each site. With up to 16 DC charging outputs from a single Charging Hub, it delivers high output density within a flexible distributed architecture, with single or dual-connector dispenser kiosks.

Customers can choose from four Dispenser Kiosk power ranges supporting continuous currents – 2x 250 A, 2x 375 A, 2x 500 A, and 1x 700 A – with certified Active Boost Mode (allowing higher currents) available as standard to optimise charging time. The platform is also designed to support future MCS deployment at 1000 V.

More than a Charging System

Beyond DC charging equipment, the Charging Hub can be delivered as a fully integrated MV-to-DC solution, combining medium-voltage infrastructure, charging equipment, automation and grid integration.

This gives customers a single technology provider for the electrical infrastructure required to connect the charging system to the grid, reducing interfaces between different suppliers and simplifying project design and deployment.

The solution is complemented by Efacec’s engineering capabilities, including grid assessment and analysis for MV-to-DC integration up to 1.6 MW.

Smart software to match smart hardware

The Charging Hub is complemented by Efacec’s EVCore software ecosystem, including EVCore CPMS, EVCore LMS and the new EVCore Asset Management platform.

Together, these solutions support charging infrastructure management, load optimisation and asset monitoring, helping operators improve energy use, asset performance and operational efficiency.

Why the Efacec Charging Hub Stands Out

  • Power modularity – scalable in 40 kW increments.
  • High output capacity – up to 16 DC charging outputs from a single hub.
  • Flexible power ranges – four Dispenser Kiosks variants, from 250 A up to 700 A and future proof for MCS 1000 V deployment.
  • End-to-end Efacec technology – charging, MV infrastructure, automation, grid integration and software in a single proposition.
  • Integrated engineering support – grid integration support and MV-to-DC engineering up to 1.6 MW.

Building on more than 15 years of experience in electric mobility and Efacec’s broader expertise across the energy value chain, the Charging Hub brings together power, charging, grid and digital technologies in a single scalable platform designed to support the next generation of high-power EV charging infrastructure.
